LaChapelle's personal projects, created recently as part of his artistic and critical expression. Here he seeks to juxtapose contrasting concepts through their visual representation: hope and despair, growth and devastation, renewal and degeneration.

Renowned photographer David LaChapelle arrived in Israel on Saturday for his first ever art show at the Tel Aviv museum, naming it "the most important exhibition in my career."

Cinematic, larger than life, teeming with detail and almost painterly in their rich, sensual color, the photographs of David LaChapelle compel the viewer’s attention. LaChapelle’s first exhibit in Israel, David LaChapelle: Postmodern Pop Photography, will open to the public at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art on Friday, July 23, 2010.
